Nazi Policy, Gestapo And The S.s - 904 Words

Samantha Belden Ms.Taylor Language Arts/Social Studies March 11, 2015 Joseph Goebbels, Nazi Policy,Gestapo and the S.S. Working with Hitler is a tough job, especially thinking of his propaganda. This was Joseph Goebbels job. The S.S. was a group forced to obey Hitler. Gestapo was part of this group. He changed Germany into a harsh national socialist country. Joseph Goebbels was born October twenty-ninth, 1897, in Rheydt Germany (Joseph Paul 1). He had a limp for his left foot, there are many myths about it. Like he was born with clubfoot or that it was caused in war. These rumors were spread my his enemies (Pearce 14). Goebbels went to college at Heidelberg University, where he got his doctorate of philosophy. He had joined the army for three short months, in 1917 (Adams 35) Joseph has had many jobs. These included writing, journalism, speaking, a propagandist, and a war criminal (Joseph Paul 1). He worked for the Nazi party. He was also the minister of propaganda and enlightenment (The German Reichstag 11). This lasted 12 years (!933-!945) (Adams 35). Propaganda was the Nazi’s motivation. There are many forms of propaganda, including, newspapers, journals, pamphlets, etc (Kaplan 12). Joseph Goebbels was a propagandist (Adams 9). He thought propaganda has no method. Propaganda is in the mind, is what Goebbels thought (Adams15). Goebbels was Hitler’s propaganda chief. He made Hitler novels, poetry, etc ( Evans 9).
